Turn the stainless top and choose how much comes out: a light shake, a heavy shake, an open pour, or closed. Those four settings sit on one lid, so the salt that seasons an egg can also pour into a pot of pasta water. The pair arrives filled: one with sea salt, one with ground black pepper. Each glass jar holds up to 110 g of salt or 55 g of pepper and measures 2.59 by 2.59 by 3.96 inches. When one runs low, unscrew the top, refill and screw it back on. Turn it to closed before it goes back in the cupboard.
