You reach into a salt pig with your fingers, and this one adds a cork lid that pivots away under your thumb. Cork absorbs excess moisture, so the lid over the salt is cork and not ceramic. The top of the lid is concave, so a few peppercorns can wait there, or a small jar can stack on it. It is about 4 inches across and 3 inches high, small enough to park right next to the burners. Pick from five colors: white, black, red, teal, terra cotta. Hand washing only: no dishwasher, no microwave, no oven.
